What are magnetic paddle shifters?
Factory paddles use a simple spring and a plastic switch, which is why they often feel soft, vague, or have a dead zone. A magnetic paddle shifter uses N52-grade neodymium magnets to hold the paddle in position and snap it back, and an OMRON IP67-rated waterproof switch to register the shift. The result is a short, crisp, Formula 1-style click that feels the same no matter where on the paddle you press.
What is in a Zen Series kit?
- Two complete magnetic paddle shifter units (left and right).
- Two pairs of paddles: an OEM-style pair in matte black carbon fiber, and an extended-style pair in your choice of matte black carbon fiber, forged carbon fiber, red carbon fiber, or brushed aluminum. Custom finishes are available.
- All hardware and a hex key.
Construction is 6061-T6 aluminum and SUS 316 stainless steel with grade 12.9 high-tensile stainless bolts, rated for over 1,000,000 actuation cycles.
How do they install?
Exactly like the factory paddles. Remove the OEM paddles, bolt the Zen Series units on, and plug them in. No cutting, no wiring, no coding, and you do not remove the steering wheel. The paddles themselves are modular: you can swap between the OEM-style and extended-style pair at any time without removing the unit.
