Fitment
This build is for the 2012-2016 Audi B8.5/8V A3/S3/RS3, A4/S4/RS4, A5/S5/RS5 (Audi B8.5, 8V, 2012–2016). It replaces the factory wheel directly and bolts to the stock column with the stock hardware. What factory features are retained?
- Airbag: retained. Your factory airbag module transfers into the new wheel. No airbag is shipped with the wheel.
- Buttons and controls: retained. Your factory button pods and harness swap over. Plug-and-play, no coding.
- Paddle shifters: retained on paddle-equipped vehicles. Carbon fiber upgrades are available where listed.
- Heated steering wheel: retained when you select the heated option (+$99). The heating element is built into the new wheel and connects to the factory plug.
- Horn, clock spring, steering angle sensor: untouched. The wheel bolts to the factory column.
Nothing needs to be cut, spliced, or coded. You don't send in your original wheel, and the swap is plug-and-play: unbolt the factory wheel, move the airbag, buttons, and paddles over, and bolt the new wheel on.
How much does a carbon fiber steering wheel for the 2012-2016 Audi B8.5/8V A3/S3/RS3, A4/S4/RS4, A5/S5/RS5 cost?
The Zencarbonfiber wheel starts at $499. Heated retention adds $99. There is no core charge and no core exchange. A 50% deposit or a 4-part 0% APR payment plan is available at checkout. Your OEM airbag cover fits every wheel Zencarbonfiber makes, so a custom airbag cover is optional. Every wheel is hand-wrapped and hand-stitched to your spec, and you approve photos of the finished wheel before it ships.

No. Airbags are never shipped. Your factory airbag module transfers into the new wheel and clips in the same way it did in the factory wheel.
Will the buttons or airbag throw an error?
No. The wheel uses your factory harness, buttons, and airbag module, so the car sees the same electronics it had before. No coding is required.
Can I keep my factory paddle shifters?
Yes. Your OEM paddles transfer over. Zen Series carbon fiber magnetic paddle shifters are available as a direct-fit upgrade on many platforms.
Do I need professional installation?
Not necessarily. Most owners install it themselves with basic tools, and an independent shop typically charges 0.5–1 labor hour.
How long does it take?
About 5–6 weeks of handcrafting, plus shipping. You approve photos before it ships and can request an update at any time.
What is the warranty?
Steering wheels: two years against heat cracks on the carbon fiber finish (leather, Alcantara, and other wear surfaces excluded). LED modules: one year. Interior carbon fiber parts: lifetime. Exterior carbon fiber parts: 150 days. Full terms are on the warranty and return policy page.
Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. Orders ship from Texas to every country. Local pickup in Dallas is also welcome.
